Berkeley visitors cease results in 2 arrests

BERKELEY (KRON) — A routine visitors cease in Berkeley on Monday resulted within the arrest of two males and the apprehension of a stolen gun.

Berkeley Police pulled the automotive over on the 1800 block of College Avenue round 10:30 a.m.

The driving force, 20-yr-previous DeAndre Bess of Oakland, was driving on a suspended license and had an impressive warrant for home violence, based on police.

The backseat passenger, 18-yr-previous Timothy George Jr. of Berkeley, was ordered to get out of the automotive after police observed he was making an attempt to cover a firearm beneath his shirt, police stated.

Upon looking George, police discovered a loaded handgun.

When officers ran the gun’s serial quantity, they found the firearm had been reported stolen in August after an auto housebreaking in Vallejo.

The daughter of the automotive proprietor, who was seated within the entrance passenger seat, was launched on the scene and the automotive was towed.

Police stated Bess was arrested for driving on a suspended license and the warrant.

George was booked for carrying a loaded firearm in public, carrying a hid firearm and possession of stolen property.

Each are being held on the Metropolis of Berkeley Jail.
