Code Blue issued throughout Philadelphia space as a result of frigid temperatures

A Code Blue has been issued for Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Bucks counties because of the frigid temperatures forecast over the subsequent few days.

Philadelphia’s Workplace of Homeless Providers has declared the second Code Blue of the winter season efficient Wednesday at 6 p.m. by way of subsequent Wednesday, December twenty first at 6 a.m. in an effort to stop climate associated deaths amongst individuals experiencing homelessness throughout dangerously chilly temperatures.

Metropolis officers urge residents who see an individual dwelling on the road to name Homeless Outreach at 215-232-1984. Homeless outreach groups can be found 24 hours a day, 7 days every week.

The Code Blue Declaration for Montgomery County has been issued for the interval starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday via 12 p.m. on Saturday, December 17.

The Code Blue declaration in Bucks County will cowl the interval of seven p.m. by way of 7 a.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2016.

The Bucks County Emergency Administration Company has notified Emmaus Rod Lutheran Church in Levittown, Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian Church and Quakertown Masonic Lodge to plan to activate their emergency shelters. The on-name church volunteers will coordinate transportation, momentary shelter, meals and different requirements.
