Former Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay killed in aircraft crash

HOLIDAY, Florida —

Former Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Roy Halladay was killed when the small plane he was in crashed into shallow waters within the Gulf of Mexico close to Vacation, Florida. He was forty.

The crash occurred shortly after midday on Tuesday.

No different particulars have been instantly obtainable, together with a possible variety of victims, accidents, or a reason for the crash.

Roy tweeted incessantly about his love for flying.

Harry Leroy Halladay III, affectionately often known as “Doc,” was traded by the Toronto Blue Jays to the Phillies in 2009.
