WASHINGTON DC (KTRK) —
President-elect Donald Trump selects former Texas Gov. Rick Perry to be secretary of power.
The 2-time presidential candidate had been a harsh critic of Trump in the course of the 2016 race, calling him a “most cancers to conservatism.” He later endorsed the Republican nominee and stated he’d be prepared to work in a Trump administration.
Certainly one of Perry’s greatest-remembered moments from his first White Home run was when he could not keep in mind in a debate the third of three federal businesses he promised to remove if elected. The one he forgot was the Power Division.
