A South Florida lawmaker Tuesday filed a proposal that might put aside $10 million for grants to small companies that rent veterans.
The proposal (SB 152), filed by Sen. Rene Garcia, R-Hialeah, can be thought-about through the 2017 legislative session, which begins in March.
Underneath the invoice, lawmakers would earmark $10 million for the group Florida Is For Veterans, Inc., which might administer the grants.
