3 shootings within 2 hours has Richmond residents on edge


RICHMOND, Calif. (KGO) — Richmond police say they can not clarify a burst of violence that happened last night time. They are investigating three totally different shootings that occurred inside two hours.

One capturing occurred in the parking zone of the Cypress Pines Flats at Potrero Avenue and 47th Road. Residents heard several rounds of gunfire.

“About 11:30 last night time her and I have been strolling by means of this gate proper here and heard ‘pop, pop, pop, pop.’ It seemed like firecrackers,” stated Richmond resident Ashley Lewis.

She says her three youngsters have been asleep inside their house when it occurred. She does not need them to be scared so she advised them the police have been right here because a automotive was damaged into. But she is nervous.

“Just a little scared because is it focused? Is it random? Just kinda gets your mind questioning,” she explained.

The crime scene at the house complicated is dotted with yellow circles displaying where police have found bullet casings. There are about 50 circles.

“Yeah, it was scary. I have youngsters and I come residence late typically,” stated Ronika Scott as she headed out to take her youngsters to high school.

The other shootings additionally occurred in neighborhoods. One happened at Nevin Avenue and First Road, the other in the 2500 block of Esmond Avenue. Four individuals have been shot. All of them survived.
