70 Guide Dogs for the Blind trained at Oakland International Airport on Saturday


OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) — Oakland Airport went to the canine on Saturday in one of the simplest ways potential!

Seventy Guide Canine for the Blind service canine have been in motion training at the Worldwide Airport. The canine and their handlers navigated TSA checkpoints, boarding and disembarking procedures. The pups even had to study endurance like everybody else while they waited for his or her luggage at baggage claim!

The canine ranging from 5 to 13 months of age acted as ambassadors, educating gate brokers and TSA personnel greatest practices when working with help animals.

Each guide canine starts training at three days previous. Coaching takes 18 months to complete.
