CHP investigates deadly shooting on Highway 4 near Concord


CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, Calif. — The California Freeway Patrol is investigating the demise Saturday of a lady in a solo car accident on State Freeway 4 north of Concord in Contra Costa County, her automotive having sustained bullet-hole injury on the driver’s aspect, the CHP stated.

The preliminary investigation is of a “suspicious dying,” stated CHP Officer Hannah Wolcott. Neither the lady’s identify nor the character of her injuries was launched Saturday night time.

The accident was first reported at about 2:25 p.m. Saturday, when an eastbound silver Honda Accord veered first into the center divider and then throughout all eastbound lanes onto the Willow Cross Street exit offramp.

CHP investigators remained on the scene at 9 p.m. Saturday. By then, all 4 lanes of eastbound Freeway 4 have been open; anyplace from one to all 4 eastbound lanes had been closed at numerous factors Saturday as the investigation unfolded. The eastbound Willow Move Street off-ramp itself remained closed late Saturday night time.
