Crews rescue man stuck in grease vent of empty restaurant

A man who was probably making an attempt to burglarize an deserted Chinese language restaurant has been rescued from the grease vent, the place officials say he had been trapped for two days.

The Alameda County Sheriff’s Office says deputies and firefighters have been referred to as to the vacant constructing in San Lorenzo on Wednesday after somebody heard cries for help.

It says that when officers arrived, they found the grease-coated man stuck inside the metallic vent.

The sheriff tweeted that the person was trespassing and probably making an attempt to burglarize the empty restaurant.

“We will affirm that this gentleman was not Santa Claus,” a county sheriff’s office spokesman informed KGO-TV.

Alameda County Sgt. Ray Kelly tells the San Francisco Chronicle the man was in usually good condition despite being exposed to the chilly and the elements.

Kelly says the unidentified man was checked into the hospital, and deputies will determine later whether to guide him into jail or problem a quotation.
