Crews Responding to Gas Leak Explosion in South L.A.’s Florence Neighborhood; Multiple Patients Reported

Crews responding to a reported fuel leak explosion in South Los Angeles’ Florence neighborhood arrived to heavy hearth coming from storm drains, the L.A. Hearth Department stated Sunday.

The incident was reported around 7:45 a.m. in the area of 216 W. Slauson Ave.

“Man gap cover(s) have been displaced on account of underground strain,” the Hearth Division stated in a press release. “Multiple patients reported with unknown accidents.”

It’s unclear if flames have unfold into surrounding buildings, the company stated.
