Georgia Engel, Star of ‘The Mary Tyler Moore Show,’ Dies at 70: Reports

Actress Georgia Engel, who starred as Georgette Franklin Baxter in “The Mary Tyler Moore Present,” died Friday, in response to The New York Occasions.

Engel, who joined the present in 1972, was nominated twice for an Emmy for her work on the legendary TV present.

She was also nominated 3 times for an Emmy for her recurring position as Pat MacDougall, the mom-in-regulation of Dangerous Garrett’s character Robert Barone on “Everyone Loves Raymond.”

The New York Occasions stories that Engel, a Christian Scientist, didn’t go to docs and her explanation for demise isn’t recognized, based on a household good friend of the actress.
