Gillibrand made the announcement in a video titled “Courageous Wins,” through which the New York junior senator quotes from the “Star Spangled Banner” to spotlight examples of bravery within the history of america and to tackle President Trump.
“Brave does not spread hate,” she stated within the video. “Cloud fact. Build a wall. That’s what worry does.”
Demonstrating her will to tackle the president, Gillibrand ended her video with an announcement that her first major speech as a presidential candidate will take place outdoors of the Trump International Lodge in New York City on March 24.
Since launching an exploratory committee two months in the past, Gillibrand has introduced herself to voters in a number of swing states — together with Iowa, New Hampshire, and South Carolina.
