Interim boss at Audi named as permanent head of luxury brand

Volkswagen’s Audi division has named appearing head Bram Schot as the posh model’s everlasting boss after his predecessor was jailed.

Schot took over on an appearing basis in June after Rupert Stadler was jailed while prosecutors investigate attainable illegal manipulation of diesel engine emissions. Stadler has since left the company.

Schot, fifty seven, was appearing CEO alongside together with his duties as advertising head at Audi, which additionally oversees the Volkswagen Group’s Lamborghini automotive and Ducati motorbike brands.

Volkswagen Group CEO Herbert Diess, who additionally heads Audi’s board of directors, stated in a press release Wednesday that together with his new mandate Schot would “additional speed up the transformation of the enterprise.”

Schot was also appointed to the Volkswagen Group’s administration board, its prime government body.
