Snooze button is more harmful than helpful, doctors say

It seems that hitting that snooze button in your alarm clock to get an extra five to ten minutes of sleep is probably not doing all of your physique any good.

Sleep specialists say it disrupts the late stage REM sleep, which causes a “battle or flight response” within the physique.

And, that will increase your blood strain and heartbeat.

Docs say if you find yourself hitting snooze rather a lot, it is time to try your sleep habits.

“Simply be sure to are getting seven to eight hours of adequate sleep and good high quality sleep,” stated Dr. Reena Mehra of the Cleveland Clinic.

When you really feel the necessity to hit snooze repeatedly, it’s an indicator that you’re either not getting sufficient quality sleep or you’ll have an underlying sleep problem
