UNCC capturing victim Drew Pescaro takes his first steps with no walker after thirteen days within the hospital.
UNC Charlotte scholar Drew Pescaro, who was wounded in a capturing on the faculty last month, has taken his first steps after thirteen days within the hospital.
The 19-yr-previous tweeted video of the large moment on Monday.
“Replace: Day 13, took my first steps and not using a walker at the moment, so I felt the need to share it with everyone,” Pescaro posted from the hospital.
The 21-second video, which has been seen 17,000 occasions and gotten 1,500 reactions, exhibits Pescaro in a hospital gown, rolling an IV stand as he walks with an unsteady gait down the hospital’s hallway.

Pescaro has tweeted a number of occasions while in the hospital, including a Mother’s Day post thanking his mom.
“I can’t say enough about my Mother who has been supporting me via this entire process,” he tweeted. “So much time has been devoted in the direction of getting me better and she or he has been on the head of all of it. I really like her very much.”
