VIDEO: Police say man sealed cat inside bucket, abandoned him on New York sidewalk

NEW YORK —

New video released exhibits the person police say sealed a cat inside a bucket and deserted him outdoors at an animal shelter close to Little Italy.

Thankfully the cat survived and is now on the lookout for a very good residence.

Nevertheless, it isn’t the primary time that a cat was dumped inside a bucket at the location.

Police report that on Thursday near Hester and Centre Road, the person left a sealed bucket that contained a cat inside proper near a garbage can in front of Animal Haven. The person then fled north on Centre Road.

A employee leaving for the night time saw the bucket, heard a hiss, and knew exactly what was inside.

An investigation determined that the bucket’s lid had a gap in it, and the cat was malnourished

The suspect is described as an Asian male who was last seen sporting a sweater, denims and dark-coloured footwear.

Anybody with info in regard to this incident is requested to name the NYPD’s Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477) or for Spanish, 1-888-fifty seven-PISTA (74782).

Virtually precisely a month ago on November seventeenth, another employee discovered an analogous plastic bucket near the trash outdoors the shelter’s back door. Peeking out of the opening on prime was a cat’s eye. They brought the furry creature inside, checked her out, and named her ‘Sage.’
